How to Store your makeup

c37719fe921d58e421ae3181f2fd847e  I love makeup!!! But more than using makeup, I love collecting makeup. I got a huge stock of makeup (Well, not as huge as compared to what some of the people I idolize have) but I still have a pretty okay collection. Even though buying Makeup is always fun, storing or Organizing it is a task. When your makeup is disorganized it creates a clutter. Not only on your Vanity but also in your mind. You probably have a lot makeup that you love but if you don’t store it properly, it will never give you the satisfaction of having this amazing collection.

There are certain rules to follow while storing Makeup. a36269ed0914fa4fc073f576d12d8e3c

1. Do not keep unnecessary junk. You have to get rid of all the unwanted stuff lying in your drawer for months or even years. Even if you have not used it a lot, it is still necessary to trash it as a) Makeup has expiry period too and if you apply expired makeup it will only give you breakouts. and b) You are blocking space for something you really need.

2. Now that you have sorted the products that you finally want to keep, Find the perfect place to keep your Makeup and make sure you clean the area first. Only the products you use daily should be kept on the counter top and rest all can go in the boxes or drawers.

3. You can buy storage boxes from the market or you can make your own Storage boxes at home. Do not forget the craft lessons at school. Make your own storage box and give it a personal touch. You can use old plastic boxes and decorate it to make it a makeup organizer.

4. Try to avoid keeping the products standing. It will make them fall when you are in a hurry and you got no time to pick stuff up every time it falls. Meaning don’t keep round or cylindrical products on the table as it will keep rolling and falling off and that’s going to be really annoying. Instead, get a tray and place them accordingly.

5. The most efficient and space saving way is to use a jewelry holder to store your makeup. It is easy, takes very little space, easily available and super convenient.

6. Use glass jar’s or vase to store Makeup brushes. Simple and attractive. To make it prettier, add colorful stones in the jar.

7. Organize your cosmetics in a way that will automatically make you feel beautiful as much as it makes you look beautiful 🙂 Respect the makeup you have and do not over cloud yourself by buying too much that you can’t handle. Keep it minimum but keep it clean.

How to: A Perfect “Selfie”

Kim Kardashian is known as the queen of Selfies. Recently she took a Selfie on stage. She can probably take a selfie almost anywhere and if you are a fan like me, you would know what I mean 😉 #Theellenshow #KimALIcebucketchallenge.

Selfie is like the word of the year. Even though most of us are obsessed with Selfie’s like Mrs. West, there are some that hate the idea of being so self centered. But People who love it, don’t care. Selfies are GREAT!

A few adjectives usually associated with selfies are vain, narcissistic, cheesy, attention seekers and basically anything to do with the superficial. For only someone with an inflated sense of self would waste time taking their own picture. Waste? What is wrong with being comfortable in our own skin and having a little fun with ourselves? Isn’t that what we all talk about eall the time? Loving ourselves?

That is what the selfie is! It marks a time when someone feels beautiful and self assured. When they are having fun and are not worried about the daily personal problems we all have to face. In a time when feelings of insecurity run high and people shy away, the selfie is an instant of boldness.

There is a Glamorous star quality in all of us and a Perfect Selfie is so important yet sometime’s so difficult. Taking a Selfie is when we actually become multi tasker. Have you thought about it? When you take a Selfie, you are the Photographer, Model and also the Editor. But what makes a Selfie a perfect one? Let’s see some tips on How to get a Perfect Selfie.

1. CAMERA: Front cameras are highly used when taking a selfie. The main reason being it’s comfortable and it also act’s like a Mirror. You can see what you look like. But there are time’s when a back camera works pretty well. So it will be better if you just flip your camera and take a selfie from your back camera.

2. LIGHTING: Natural sunlight for a Selfie is the best (obviously in the day time). That is why you see a lot of Selfie’s in the car. I think car’s are perfect selfie studios. You can use your back camera and still see what picture you are taking in the rear view mirror. And get natural lighting. If not in the day or where there is no or very little sunlight, you can keep a lamp close to your face and if you feel a little filmy? Just use a table fan to give that hair blowing look.

Play with the lights. Try different color’s.

Lamps with yellow light bulbs tend to wash you out, blue and/or white light bulbs are flattering. Pink light bulbs are actually the MOST flattering in person.

3. EXPRESSIONS: This part is something that most people don’t get it. But once practiced and done correctly can be so fun. It’s a Selfie, There is no one around, try different expression’s. No one would judge you. No one is going to like it when you have the same expression’s in every single pic. Make crazy face’s. People love that. Show you are an emotional person. Unless you are deliberately trying to imitate Kristen  Stewart. screen-shot-2014-02-19-at-4-02-05-pm You don’t have to “Smile” in every picture.  And PLEASE don’t make the pout or duck face or “fishy face” your signature look. It has been taken and by a lot. Surprise your audience. Do something weird once in a while. You can take a look at picture’s of people who have given expression’s. But do not try too hard. If you can not, then just keep it simple. If you try to go out of your way, it will make you look all fake. Be natural and do no copy. That is the point here. Practice and you will get it. It is all about being comfortable in front of the camera.

4: Be CREATIVE: Creativity can be broadly used when taking any picture. Take a Selfie with different angles. There are different types of Selfies. Try some of these : Half face selfie, Mirror Selfie, Hide your face with something Selfie. Try new poses. Just make it real fun to look at you. Another fun way is the “I woke up like this” Selfie. Don’t be uptight all the time. Give your good looks a break and be courageous enough to show how you look when you wake, this can be like a #challenge with your friends and loads of fun screen-shot-2014-02-19-at-4-06-36-pm

5. FILTERS: This is my favorite part of the Selfie or any picture for that matter. I love playing with filters, but one should know where to draw a line. There way too many app’s for editing pictures but only some do a decent job. Do not over filter your pictures. We don’t anyone wondering where our nose or jaw line disappeared. Don’t lose your actual face while giving yourself a Selfie make-over. Make your selfie interesting by using option’s to decorate your picture.

And one Final Tip: Be YOURSELF. We love getting inspired by looking at other’s pictures. but please do not try to copy. Use your own style and remember, If you can’t be real in your picture you won’t be considered real person in life.

So be real but don’t be so serious 🙂

What are your idea’s of a perfect Selfie. Share your tips and tricks in the comment below 🙂 <3

What’s your Score?

People often unknowingly settle for less than what they deserve or actually deep down in their heart truly wish for. It happens to a lot of us. We restrict ourselves from looking for what is right for us with the fear of being disappointed. Instead of exploring and hunting for the right thing, we try and compromise, hold back or even mould our desires to what’s been offered to us. We just accept life the way it is. Which is not really bad for some people, but you might, just might, in the future think of it as a waste of time and effort and would make you wish you probably could have had better.
It’s only when the temporary happiness leaves, do we realize that it was just another mean of plain disappointment. What remains then? Regret!!!
It is always better though to realize it before it’s too late.
Everything else can still be fixed but the one thing that can never ever be replaced is the (wasted) time. No one would want to say “I wish I had…” or “I wish I hadn’t…” when they grow old.
You can never go back and study hard and change your high school grades.
You can never go back and choose a different stream.
You can never go back and undo the fights and mistakes
You can never go back and not meet or associate with certain people.
You can never go back and select the right friend’s.
You can never go back and ditch the wrong friend’s.
You can never go back and create or build an image.
You can never go back and make that first impression.
You can never go back and untell the secret’s.
You can never go back and keep certain promises.
You can never go back and build the trust you lost.
You can never go back and destroy bad memories.
You can never go back and re-live good memories.
You can never go back and fight with the one’s who deserved.
You can never go back and make up with someone who deserved.
You can never go back and share some feelings.
You can never go back and hide some feelings.
You can never go back and take the chances you didn’t take.
You can never go back and refuse/reject the offers you accepted.
You can never go back and say the right things.
You can never go back and unsay the wrong words.
And, you can never go back and refuse to GO BACK!!!
TIME really is precious. All we have is now.
Make the right choices, choose the correct people. Listen to your heart when it says something’s right and also listen to your gut feeling when it hints something isn’t. We always get the signs. Listen to your inner voice. And if you still feel confused then choose to play safe. As life is a game which surely has negative scoring.

Here are 4 criteria’s on which you can score your life:

  • Health ___
  • Work ___
  • Relationships ___
  • Activity (Hobbies)___
1 Regret = 1 negative score or Minus 1
1 Satisfaction = Plus 1
And if you find satisfaction in doing the wrong thing, then it’s definitely a FOUL. That’s when you find yourself being stuck. You can not go ahead, nor can you go back. And you find yourself saying “I’m working so hard on my health or relationships or work but I’m not getting anywhere” That’s simply because you’re trying to find “Satisfaction” or “Happiness” in the wrong job or relationship or people or just things in general.
If you’re among the lucky one’s who don’t need to put that extra effort or go out of your way and still doing okay, well good job then. You are on the right track 🙂 If not, that’s okay too. Keep exploring and see what make’s you smile and make sure you do it at least once a day. Something that inspires you.
Remember, it’s not a race. It is YOUR life and life is Single Player game. You don’t have or need a competition.
Play your own game, keep your own pace and break your own highest score 🙂 <3
